I’ve been working on a crafty anniversary project for my sweetheart for our anniversary on Tuesday. A good use of this storm-y wea-ther.

Recently I made a big decision. So when the deed was done, I bought myself something to commemorate it. I decided on a butterfly espresso cup and saucer by Laura Zindel I found while browsing a local green design store. Her scientific drawings of insects are so beautiful. I don’t drink out of it because I don’t drink espresso. But it makes a dandy place to put my small ring collection on my desk.
Why? Because I figure it’s better to be a butterfly than stuck in a cocoon.
“Art as Medicine.” Wonderful Studio 360 podcast.
Next time I visit someone in the hospital, I’m going to bring something from nature, but also some music. Makes me wish I’d had some to listen to when I was there.

Went to Unique LA over the weekend and found the mug I should’ve bought last year. Same one! Last year was a worrying one. So this year, I’m over that. Because everything is going to be okay. No need to worry, see?
(It’s from Rock Scissor Paper, which rocks. The sister duo even gave me a free card when they heard my shoulda bought it last year tale.)
